Otto Frank was Anne Frank’s father. After being arrested and deported to Auschwitz, he became ill, but was then placed in the camp hospital at Auschwitz, where he recovered. He was alive when Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet Army in 1945. He did in Switzerland in 1980 at age 91.
