How old is my .38 Special (Taurus)?
Taurus has not been around long enough to really hold any kind of collector’s value. You can go to their site and see if they still even make the model you have. That might give you a suggested value new. It would also depend on whether or not the pistol was made in Brazil (older) or Miami (newer). Either way, it is a revolver. Not a lot that can go wrong. Photograph it and record the ser #. Clean it, oil it, load it, keep it by your pillow. Sleep well at night knowing your Grandfather is still looking out for you.
