6 months is the recommended age to start using the Easy-Rider hip seat. Your baby must be able to hold their head up independently before using the hip seat. The hip seat is only recommended for children over six months old, before this age your child’s bones are still forming and you risk damage. If you must use it, sit your child facing outward away from you. Under no circumstances have your child sitting facing you until the child is at least 6 months old.
