You have to be at least 18 years old to book a hotel room so you’ll be fine so long as it’s the 18 year olds booking and checking in at the hotel. However, if you’re using the mother’s visa and she isn’t there to check in with you, the hotel will require a credit card authorization check. The mother/cardholder will have to call the hotel, speak with the reservations manager, and then fax a credit card authorization form … this can sometimes be done ahead of time by calling the hotel and informing them of this, which is what I would recommend so as to avoid any complications upon arrival at the hotel. This is required because the person checking in generally has to match the name of the card holder that paid for the room.
