How old do boxer puppies have to be to get ears and tailed clipped?
Unfortunately boxer puppies need to have their tails docked before they are 5 days old. I doubt you will be able to find a vet to dock the tail of a puppy who is 8 weeks old because it would be very painful. Also I would not recommend cropping his ears. This process can take several weeks and is also very painful for the poor little guys. There is only 1 vet in the area I live that will even crop ears, the rest refuse because it is only cosmetic. I work at a vet office and almost 100% of the boxers that I see do not have cropped ears!! Boxers look cute with floppy ears!! Also if the puppy you bought is a full stock boxer the breeder should have had its tail docked (and declaws removed if he has them) when he was days old. I would question the breeder for sure!!
