I am a big fan of waiting on solids until 6 months, when babies are actually properly ready to digest these things. Some parents start at four months. It is recommended to begin solids at around 4-6 months. Some parents even choose to do so later, which is completely fine. 10 weeks is too soon. They may be able to eat it…. but that doesn’t mean everything is going good on the inside. They aren’t capable of digesting and properly breaking it apart inside of their bodies. Chances are… the baby isn’t even absorbing any nutrients from the food. So it is only take away from nutrients the baby should be getting through breast milk or formula. It may cause stomach distress and gas also. I would suggest talking to your cousin about this and maybe listing off a few of the reasons to wait that mothers mention here. Maybe she just doesn’t know when to introduce solids. But, it is her child, all you can do is suggest waiting, you won’t be able to make her mind up for her, but maybe you can hel
