How old are the Greyhounds Chinook Winds Greyhound Rescue adopts out?
. We get Greyhounds as soon as they retire, anywhere between 2-5 years of age. There are instances where we get younger dogs, although rarely do we get puppies. There are also times where we get older dogs, as some of the females are held back to be used for breeding purposes. Some of those brood matrons can have puppies until they are 8 or 9 years old and richly deserve a family to love them after they retire from their duties as “moms”!
