How old are the craters in the moon?
No one really knows. The oldest rocks that have been found on the moon are 4.5 billion years old, which is 1 billion years older than the oldest rocks that have been found on the earth. The moon was formed during the creation of the universe, just like the earth. The difference is that the moon has no atmosphere or weather to erase crater marks. The moon is constantly being hit with debris, so some craters are newer than others.
