How often will Step 1 of PDR occur?
It is anticipated that Step 1, the identification of new challenges, will occur as a formal process as funds become available, challenges are completed, and WERF has the capacity to attack new ones. In addition, WERF will hold annual meetings during which subscribers will interact with researchers to review the progress of ongoing work and learn about interim research findings. At these meetings, subscribers will ensure that research remains relevant and timely and that it is on track to meet their needs. If applicable, subscribers also will identify new challenges.
