Sounds like you are doing great. I have two 4 month old kittens and what I do is leave dry food out and available at all time so they can fill their little stomachs little and often as kittens require, and then I give them a pouch of wet food between them in the evenings, more as a treat than anything else. It is completely up to you really. I have friends who only feed dry food as they don’t like the smell of wet (the smell issue also carries on to the litter tray) and with my previous cat we pretty much fed only wet with just some dry as an extra snack. All cats seem and were perfectly healthy either way. You are in good position while the kitten is young to choose what you want to feed her, based on what is convenient for you, or most enjoyed by her, or a combination of the two. She will grow up then to be used to this. With a cat however that is used to wet food only, it would be very difficult to switch to dry.
