How often should you sharpen clipper blades and scissors and…?
When your clipper blades start to pull hair instead of cut it is definitely time to buy new blades. If you notice that hair is bending instead of cutting when doing a haircut you either need to tighten them or they need to be sharpened. When I bought my scissors the guy said that if I was cutting 10 heads a day everyday I would need to have them sharpened about every six months. However it depends on the quality of the scissors. If you have a pair that are not of a higher quality it may be better to just buy new ones. To check your electrical equipment check the cords for wear and tear. Make sure there are no exposed wires. Check the vents on your dryers and make sure there is no lint or hair build up preventing proper air flow.
