How often should I put egg shells and coffee grounds in my plants soil?

I have dumped both the egg shells (I let them dry out for a couple days, then crumble them up in my hand and the coffee grounds (and left over coffee)-everyday. It brings all kinds of night-crawlers that aerate the soil. P. S. – I call it my breakfast garden. It does change the pH in your soil-creating more acidity; but none of my plants seemed to do any less; besides the grounds also add inertia which breaks up heavy soils.
