How often is the information about brokers and brokerage firms updated?
Brokers and brokerage firms are required to keep their information up-to-date; generally, that means brokers and brokerage firms should update information not later than 30 days after learning of an event. The BrokerCheck report data is updated when a brokerage firm, broker or regulator submits new or revised information to the CRD system. Generally, updated information is available on BrokerCheck Monday through Friday.
Currently registered brokers and brokerage firms are required to keep the information in CRD accurate and up-to-date (updates typically are required not later than 30 days after the broker/brokerage firm learns of an event). The BrokerCheck report data is updated when a firm, broker or regulator submits new or revised information to CRD. Information is generally not updated for firms that are no longer FINRA registered and for brokers who are no longer registered with FINRA and not subject to its jurisdiction.
