How often is the entrance test given? When is the next written examination?
The Rochester Fire Department testing process is now done in conjunction with the Chippawa Valley Technical College Ergometrics FireTEAM examination which is administered annually along with the IAFF/IFCA Candidate Physical Abilities Test (CPAT). Applicants that have completed this testing within one (1) year imediately prior to the date of application may provide certification of their score for inclusion in the Rochester Firefighter civil service examination process. The firefighter entrance test is given approximately every two years. The Fall 2007 examination process begins with the written examination on September 22, 2007.
