How often does the nurse have to visit a consumer that is provided SHL?
This would depend on the needs of the individual being served. Some individuals have little need for nursing services. The nurse may be involved only at the annual planning meeting. Other individuals may require quarterly, monthly, weekly or daily services by the nurse. The individual, individual’s legally authorized representative, case manager, nurse and any other pertinent individuals would make the determination based on the needs of the individual.
