How often does the IVU need to be serviced or inspected?
An IAP Service Provider must implement a maintenance program to ensure the IVU is maintained in an operational state however there are no prescribed requirements for the periodical maintenance or inspection if an IVU. The IAP Functional and Technical Specification sets out performance based requirements which IVU’s and IAP Service Providers’ systems must meet in order to demonstrate that they are functioning properly. How often an IVU needs to be maintained or inspected will be determined by the IAP Service Provider in designing and developing the IVU and their systems to meet these performance based requirements.
