How often does Christian- Greek Orthodox marry outside the religion?
Orthodox are not forbidden to marry outside the Church (but they are prohibited from marrying outside Christianity). But many Orthodox strongly believe it important to marry another Orthodox person because they fear their children might become confused if their parents have different beliefs. Some also want an Orthodox wedding ceremony, and you both must be Orthodox to be married in an Orthodox church. So really, it’s entirely up to him if you could ever be married without you converting to Orthodoxy.
