How often does a tree need to be watered after being planted?
That depends on the weather and your soil conditions. Typically, if we have no rain, I suggest placing the hose at the base of the tree. Turn the hose on a “trickle”, this will allow the water to move slowly. Leave the hose there for 15-20 minutes. This should be done once a week for the first 4 weeks, tapering off to once every two weeks. Remember each site is unique – so you may need more or less water.
