How often do windsurfing injuries occur?

Dangerous? No, not really. Very little injuries occur doing windsurfing. There are certain rules to the sport. Don’t go out there with off shore wind if you don’t know what you are doing. You should be a pretty good swimmer. It does not help if you are afraid of diving down sometimes. I wear a helmet every time I go just because I do not what the mast slam on my head. Had my ankle twisted once when I jumped high but slipped out of one straps during a wild session in a North Easter. 25 years windsurfing and only one injury is not too bad. I consider jogging more dangerous or crossing a busy street. Or driving with your car to the beach to go windsurfing. Go for it. Best sport there is. Be careful, it is very addictive.
