How often do the girls feel depressed?
10% of the respondents indicate that they feel depressed always or almost always, with little difference between junior high and high school girls. This is a hard core and consistent number throughout the survey, and the concern is to whether or not these girls have been identified and are being treated. 68% of the girls indicate that they feel depressed at least once in a while. The junior high girls just a little less so at 65%. The high school girls just a little more so at 73%. While these numbers are not all that surprising, what is most useful and of interest is what makes the girls depressed.
