How often do mental patients complain of abuse or neglect by nurses and psychiatrists in mental hospitals?

I did`nt officially complain, but was over-medicated on anti-psychotics (having never had a psychotic episode in my life). They provoked patients just to pass the time. Some ways included suddenly changing routine / medication times to wind patients up. Most of the time, it was just neglect. They`d rather sit on their ar$es in the office eating cakes than do anything else (unless the charge nurse who was wonderful was around and they actually did `something`). It did`nt help patients. In the ten months I was on one ward, there were three suicides, two people needed skin grafts after seriously burning themelves and one person ended up significantly brain damaged after a suicide attempt on the ward. I`m in the UK. This hospital is now closed and many of the nursing staff / psychiatric staff have retired, though some are working in the smaller replacement psychiatric unit.
