How often do Hurricanes reach the northern Bahamas?
Hurricane season in The Bahamas is from June 1 to November 30, with the peak of tropical storm activity from August through October. There is no rule that dictates the number of hurricanes each season and predicting the frequency, route and intensity is extremely difficult. Since 1965, the Abacos have experienced four hurricanes (Hurricane Bertha 1965, Floyd 1999, Frances 2004, Gene 2004).
