How often can a farmer receive biosolids on his fields?
The amount of liquid biosolids a farmer may receive is based on a maximum-allowable nitrogen loading from the biosolids per five-year period. In many cases, the farmer requires the maximum allowable biosolids addition to fertilize his crop in one application. This would make the field ineligible to receive another biosolids application until five years later.
