How often are the traffic counts updated?
In the past, counts have been done by individuals or tubes in the spring of the year at a dozen or so locations. With the new automated Lynnwood Traffic Management System, counts will be done CONTINUALLY at every traffic signal and advance camera location. This count information will then be archived into a live database that can be queried at any time, soon, even through the Internet. These automatic-continual counts will begin at a few locations in mid-2005, and will expand to the entire City within three years.
