Web Fire Mapper is updated throughout the day; it takes approximately 2-4 hours after the satellite overpass to process the data and update the website. To find out what time the satellite passes overhead you can check the MODIS orbit tracks via the link on the MODIS Rapid Response Real-time webpage. Occasionally hardware errors mean that it takes longer than 2-4 hours to process the data.
