How often are road conditions updated?
Road condition information is updated as new data is acquired by this office. Because of the remoteness of some roads and the limited number of staff, some time may have elapsed since the last observation was reported. While our staff constantly monitors road cameras, news media and National Weather Service for changing conditions, the volatility of weather in Colorado means conditions can and will change from mile to mile or minute to minute. Because we are a small office, and at times only one or two persons are on duty, some time lag between the COTrip information and 511 phone information may occur. Usually this is less than 10 minutes.
