How often are Research Announcements released?
Each of the research disciplines in OBPR release research announcements on a regular basis, mostly on an annual cycle. Generally, grants for proposals selected for funding are established within 1 year of the receipt of the proposal. Please visit the OBPR Research Opportunities Web site for the announcement schedule for details and milestones associated with the NRA process. Announcements of Opportunity for research on the International Space Station are released on a regular basis (approximately annually). Announcements of Opportunity for Mars robotic missions are released on an irregular basis, dependant on NASA mission plans, and are generally of a multi-disciplinary nature.
