how often are prison officers assaulted and what usually happens to the prisoner involved?
The last serious assault on an Officer in our Prison was dealt with by the con being shipped to another prison and now the Police are pressing for common assault..but saying that we have had situations where Officers have not pressed charges. As for PPE you get your extendable baton and your wits and thats your lot.
