A facility will be designed and built to minimize noise impacts. Noise pollution will be assessed as part of an ‘Environmental Impact Assessment’ at the planning stage and planning conditions will set a limit to noise. The Environment Agency would also issue a Pollution Prevention Control Permit which deals with operational issues.
