The cost of a proposed recreational marine license has not yet been determined and is not specified in the proposed legislation. License prices would be set to be comparable with the cost of marine licenses in nearby states after they move forward with establishing similar rules. At that time the Executive Director will set the cost. The figures used to project potential revenue that could be generated from the marine license proposal were $15 for a resident annual; $30 for nonresident annual; $5 for 1-day resident; and $10 for 1-day non-resident license. These prices were used for the purpose of estimating potential revenue the new license could raise to help cover the cost of managing New Hampshire’s marine fisheries.
