How much would the climate change if the Earth axis were not tilted? Would it be like a long summer or winter?
If the Earth axis were not tilted with respect to the ecliptic, there would be no seasons (or perhaps very, very mild changes due to the slight variation of distance from the Sun). At a given location, there would be the same amount of solar irradiation all year, and the climate would be the same all year.
