How much would it cost to travel the world?
Traveling the world could vary dramatically depending on how you want to travel it. 5 star hotels get really expensive very quick. Hostels can end up saving you lots of money. There are cruise trips, air trips, bus trips, train trips and each has a different price tag attached to it. You could take an around the world cruise, which could be an interesting option. I just found one on P&O Cruises for 83 days (trying to match your “around the world in 80 days” example. An inside cabin is $11,048 and had an incredible itinerary. Course cruises are two people per cabin, so you’ll have to pay double that if you don’t find someone to go with you. Still, it’s not a bad way to go and much cheaper than the $100,000 example that the other person gave. Of course there would be other expenses also, such as gratuity, shore excursions (if you wanted guided tours), souvenirs, etc. There are so many options for world travel though, and the costs will always vary.
