The difference in h.p. is significant about 60 horsepower. and 60 ft/lb of torque. dropping in an engine is the most cost effective way to get more power. Adding a turbo will not net this much h.p…unless you strenghten the internals with expensive upgrades and then comes upgrading the tranny, then there is tunning, detonation issues, etc. The V6 also has more performance potential since TRD offers a supercharger for it. In my opinion if you are looking to replace a worn 4 cylinder and want to have extend and upgrade your car. Then dropping in the V6 is worth it. Toyota does not make a V4.
