How much would I make drawing up tattoos/tattoo designs for a tattoo parlour?
Depending on the quality of the artwork, originality, and saleability, you could make anywhere from $5-20 per sheet (with linework included). Most artists will buy flash from independent artists based on the premise that they are the exclusive buyer of the artwork. The more artists/studios that you sell the flash sets to, the less they will be worth to the artists since most people don’t want to be wearing the same work as someone else. All of the flash work that I do, I get printed on 11″x14″ sheets in color with a sheet of linework included (since most of the stencil machines won’t produce a clean stencil from a color copy). I sell my flash in sets of 4 sheets for $25-100 per set and usually only sell to 1 or 2 shops. (You could look at some flash sets on e-bay for reference). As far as selling artwork on a piece by piece basis, I really don’t think most artists would be interested unless the work was really spectacular, but I think you would be underselling yourself.
