How much would a Strawberry Fair (by Johnson Bros.) dinnerware set be worth?
A woman stopped at my tag sale and asked if by chance I had any Strawberry Fair pattern china. I did remember seeing it when I went through my mother’s estate. We went in the kitchen to look. I counted it and found there were 78 pieces (several size plates, bowls, cups & saucers, sugar, creamer, even a gravy boat). She offered me $100 for the whole lot. I said I needed time to do some research and she said she was very anxious to have the china as a Mother’s Day gift and she might go a “little” higher. I looked it up on several Internet sites and for what I have, the average value is over $2000! I know she won’t go that high. Now I’m in a quandary – whether to sell cheaply and get it out of the house or ask what it’s worth and not sell it. Any suggestions on what to do or what a reasonable price would be?
