How much would 3kg of silver coins be worth as scrap?

I remember some years ago selling the old two shilling pieces (10p) because they had more than two shillings worth of silver in them, I think the date was up to 1947. If that’s the sort of coin you have and they are later than that date and are still legal tender, they are worth more as coins.
