The total estimated personnel costs for the PDSC ($467,000) and the NBPTS ($131,000) supplements are $598,000. This estimate is based on 2004-2005 data considering the maximum numbers of teachers and current fund sources. By restructuring elementary schools in the western cluster, a minimum of $25,000 in personnel savings will be generated. The remaining costs of the PDSC may be funded with mandated portions of Title I federal funds. The NBPTS supplements will be funded with Title II funds. The majority of Title II funds are currently allocated for teacher units. The purpose of Title II is to attract, train, and retain highly qualified teachers and administrators. 23.
