The overall total cost for the project is $340,485,227. Of this amount, the Board of Supervisors had budgeted $262,544,427 for the construction and remaining funds are for such things as design, project management, furnishings and equipment and insurance. The Board has been setting aside funds for this project for a few years, and some other projects were delayed in order to build this needed addition to our criminal justice system.
