How much will the Council Tax go up by from April 2010?
Fareham’s portion of Council Tax frozen for 2010/11. On the 19th February 2010, Fareham Borough Council set its band D Council Tax for the coming year at £140.22. This is an increase of 0% compared to the previous year. This 0% increase has been achieved through efficiencies, prudent financial management and strict cost control, in spite of economic and funding pressures. This is the 7th year that Fareham has set a below inflation increase and it remains one of the Council’s top priorities to continue do so. The total Council Tax bill, taking into account the amount due in respect of Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Police Authority and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority, for a band D property is £1,385.73.
