How Much Will Sinaloa Park Cost, and When Will It Be Built?
A. The total project cost of Sinaloa Park, including design, permitting, construction, and project contingency, is approximately $18.8 million. Because the project is being paid for through the District’s Golf Course Enterprise Fund, the project will be built in phases. Phase 1, expected to open in July 2012, will include all of the park’s required infrastructure, main parking lot including landscaping, park restroom building, reconstruction of the pitch-and-putt golf course (golf holes 1, 2 and 9, and a new practice green/pitching area) and construction of the primary revenue-generating elements of the project: the three 18-hole miniature golf courses, the Clubhouse (which includes the Food and Beverage Concession), and the Plaza Square. The cost of Phase 1 is approximately $12.4 million. Phase 2 and Phase 2A involve constructing the park area.
