The cost of the medications ordered (a 20-day supply at a time) by the physician are charged on the practice’s credit card and does not need to be paid for 30 – 45 days later to the credit card processor. In other words, the physician collects the Rx Co-Pays from the patients from day one and doesn’t pay for the medications for 30 days later.
