How much will it cost to participate in the Alley Paving Program?
Costs are shared 50 percent with the homeowners living along the alley and 50 percent paid by the City. The fee is based on the linear footage of the length of the alley. Asphalt prices reflect the bid prices for that construction year. Each homeowner adjacent to the alley is requested to pay a fee based on the width of their lot that is adjacent to the alley. The homeowner requesting to participate in the program will become the neighborhood “captain”, responsible for collecting fees from all residents living along the alley; the estimate with the costs for each resident will be mailed to this homeowner “captain”.
