Based on estimates from the Hamilton County Auditor, the 7.5 mill rate (including the proposed capital improvement mill) assessed on Mariemont property by the LMFR will generate $950,700 for the LMFR. The other communities of the LMFR will be paying the following amount of property taxes (based on 2009 rates): Newtown, $689,925; Columbia Township, $551,768; and Fairfax, $433,823. In terms of percent, the communities’ respective contributions to the LMFR’s revenue tax base will be: Mariemont, 36%; Newtown, 27%; Columbia Township, 21%, and Fairfax, 16%.
