How much will an Auditor charge for carrying out an audit?
The fees an auditor may charge for carrying out an audit are negotiable at the time of arranging the audit. There is no predetermined fee schedule. Each employer is responsible for negotiating their own contract with consultant auditors. Before agreeing to a fee and signing a contract the employer should check the auditor’s credentials and ask for references, as they would when negotiating any contractual agreement for services. A Certifying Partner may take on the role of arranging an audit on behalf of an employer. In this case, the Certifying Partner may determine the fees to be paid.
