An airbag (or air spring)is constructed of high strength rubber with a band of steel wires in the center. It takes over the duties of a traditional coil or leaf spring in a airbag suspension setup. By adding or removing air, you change the ride height of your suspension. This will allow you to drop it for show (or to drag) and give you needed clearance
