How much will a Sky digital system cost?
The equipment is free subject to certain requirements, the main one being that the receiver must be connected to a UK telephone line for a period of 12 months. At the moment we are authorised by Sky to supply and install the equipment free of charge, subject to conditions. The equipment is supplied under a Sky contract and has to be installed by an approved Sky fitter. We can sell Sky Digital receivers which are free from all Sky UK restrictions, these have been purchased at a much higher price but they are your’s to do as you wish see: Sky Abroad. These receivers are normally sold at 199.00, beware of anyone offering a much cheaper export box, it may well be a UK subsidised Sky receiver and you could find yourself being switched off.
