As much as you want. But, it depends on the salad. Dressings are often very heavy on fat and calories, especially creamy dressings like ranch or blue cheese. Although they don’t photograph salads this way, the best way to ensure good dressing flavor with minimum dressing is to measure out a serving of dressing (read the bottle) put it in a bowl with the salad and toss them together to get a little dressing on every piece.
