You’ll need TEMPERED glass. Your basic window glass can’t hold much. With tempered glass you can put a lot of weight on it if it’s properly supported. You want shelf brackets with a bit of padding and area on them, not just a metal edge against the glass. Check with the glass company for exact specs.
