How much water should my toddler be drinking in a day?
But that includes all the liquid from other foods too. My pediatrician told me to offer milk at meals and water at all snack or other thirsty times. And that if he/she was peeing (with pale urine and little smell) and pooping (at least once every other day) normally, the water intake was ok. He also told me you really can’t give a toddler too much water. They usually stop before they have had “too much”. The key sign probably is urine that is dark yellow and smells bad. Definitely need more hydration then. I found this little article that might be interesting as well….. http://www.more4kids.info/347/toddlers-and-water/ Hope this info helps…..
