How much VSIP may a NAF employee receive?
An employee may receive a VSIP in an amount equivalent to the employee’s NAF severance pay entitlement, up to a maximum of $25,000. For purposes of determining the amount of VSIP, NAF severance pay may not exceed the amount calculated using the civil service severance pay formula in title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 5595(c). The VSIP may be paid to the employee in a lump sum, or in installments.
